Artemisia oil is extracted by steam distillation of the leaves and twigs of Artemisia vulgaris L., responsibly harvested from Himalayan regions of Nepal.

Uses: Used as a fragrance component in soaps, colognes and perfumes.

Active constituents: Major component as α-thujone; other components are α-pinene, β-pinene, β-fenchene, α-fenchene, β-thujone, 1, 8-cineol, camphor, iso-borneol, β-caryophyllene, caryophyllene oxide, davanone, p-cymene, germacrene D, δ-cadinene, limonene and camphene.

Therapeutic properties: Anthelmintic, antispasmodic, carminative, choleretic, diaphoretic, diuretic, emmenagogue, nervine, stimulant, stomachic, tonic and vermifuge.
