HBTL's handmade paper is crafted from Lokta bark (Daphne bholua/Daphne papyracea), responsibly harvested from Forest Stewardship Council and Wildlife Friendly certified Himalayan forests. The rural indigenous communities who manage the forests have established an innovative model enterprise, and produce a wide range of paper sheets, which are then custom dyed and printed in Kathmandu.
